Literature Text

I awoke with a deep pain in my chest.

I tried to look down but as soon as I did so, the pain turned into pure agony.

I shrieked because it hurt so much.

I closed my eyes and urged the pain out of my chest using my mind powers.

Wow, this hurts.

It's harder to use my mind powers when I'm in pain.

Just a little more and the pain will be gone...

Ow, Jesus Christ!

I heard a clatter on the floor and wondered what it was.

I took a deep breaths to help myself recover from the pain.

Forcing one eye open, I looked at the ground.

It was a metal knife, the moonlight bounced off the steel blade.

It was covered in blood...

My blood.

Somebody had tried to attack me in my sleep!

Somebody will pay for this!

How dare they try to kill me!?!

What kind of heartless human stabs a poor defenseless baby in the chest!?!

Just who?

What is this world coming to?

It's just sickening to believe!

I saw a street lamp nearby and a glimmering puddle of water reflecting its rays of light.

I stood up and walked over to it, I seem taller than before.

How strange?

I checked my reflection in the puddle.

Staring back at me was a 5 year old boy, he had short black hair rather like the man at the hospital who was cowering behind the surgical equipment.

The boy was naked and he had a rather noticeable mark from the knife.

I would have to find some sort of clothing to cover it up.

People may be surprised to find a naked 5 year old with a stab mark on his chest.

Then again, it probably isn't a very nice area if they kill babies around here- no wonder they need a hospital so close by.

I another feed.

My blood levels are dangerously low after that growth spurt.

I turned around to look at the back alley again and saw a small pink dress hanging out of one of the bins.

I could pass for a girl easily.

I tugged the item of clothing over my head and it surprisingly fit, rather snuggly.

I heard a loud noise from behind a box and it startled me.

I kept my guard up in case anything were to attack me, can't be too careful these days.

Especially when there's people around that stab babies (No, I don't forgive and forget easily).

From behind the box emerged a small black dog.

He couldn't have been more than a couple of weeks old- still a puppy.

I'm guessing he'd been thrown out by some ungrateful owner who didn't want him.

Shame, the dog's actually kinda cute.

I picked him up carefully and he tapped playfully.

I'll keep him, a good deed for the day (even if I did kill a doctor a few hours ago).

Also, it'll be nice to have some company who doesn't stab babies.

And no, I'm not going to forget that.

It's kinda hard to forget an evil murderer stabbing a poor defenseless baby!

Most 5 year olds (I look that age) don't have that kinda traumatic history.

Then again, most 5 year olds weren't born less than 5 hours ago and I'm guessing they didn't eat their doctor either.

I'm unique.

I know, I'll call the puppy Fang.

No pun intended.

That reminds me... I need a name too.

I looked around the alley to get some inspiration.

I saw a rock on the floor.

Coal? No. Kole? No.

I looked around again and saw a candy cane.

Candy? No, way too girly.

Then again, I am wearing a pink dress.

Candy can be my code name when I decide to dress in drag.

Cane? Kaine! Yes, I'll call myself Kaine. Perfect.

I still need to eat though.

Kaine is hungry for blood!!!
Second part to Introduce Me To The Family- was originally going to be a oneshot but it got a few faves and quite a few viewers so I'll continue it. I'm guessing it was the image that attracted so much attention, my hand covered in cherry Vimto and pomegranate Fairy liquid. I'll keep the images to the blood theme. This image is the knife in the back alley. The first image was the doctors bitten hand by the way.

Note: This chapter takes place just a few hours after the first one in case you get confused.
